ASCE's Civil Engineering Database provides access to over 100,000 bibliographic and abstracted records of ASCE's publications from 1970 - present.

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature.

The Transportation Research Board's Research in Progress (RIP) Database contains information on more than 12,000 current or recently completed transportation research projects. RIP records primarily are projects funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation and State Departments of Transportation. University transportation research also is included in the database.

ROSA P is the National Transportation Library's Repository and Open Science Access Portal. NTL’s collections in ROSA P are full-text digital publications, datasets, and other resources. The repository is also designated as the full-text repository for USDOT-funded research under the USDOT Public Access Plan. Collections in ROSA P are available without restriction to transportation researchers, statistical organizations, the media, and the general public.

Science.gov searches over 60 databases and over 2,200 scientific websites to provide users with access to more than 200 million pages of authoritative federal science information including research and development results.

TRID is an integrated database that combines the records from TRB’s Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) Database and the OECD’s Joint Transport Research Centre’s International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) Database. TRID provides access to 1.4 million records of transportation research worldwide.

The USDOT Research Hub is a web-based, searchable database of USDOT-sponsored research, development, and technology project records.

WorldCat is a union catalog that itemizes the collections of tens of thousands of institutions (mostly libraries).

The 2009 AASHTO Transportation Glossary is an update and revision of the 1983 Transportation Glossary and the 1998 Transportation Glossary, which was unpublished. The largest additions in terminology were in bridge and drainage subjects.
