Published in March 2015 by the Transportation Research Board, TRB Electronic Circular E-C194: Literature Searches and Literature Reviews for Transportation Research Projects is the result of a 2-year collaborative effort by more than 50 individuals. This web document addresses the steps necessary for producing a high-quality literature review for a transportation research project. Focusing on how to conduct literature searches and how to produce a quality literature review, it contains valuable appendices including where to search for transportation information. It is intended for transportation researchers, including university investigators, graduate students, consultants and practitioners in state and federal agencies.
