This LibGuide comes to you from a number of talented librarians at the Minnesota DOT Library.

The platform for this guide is provided through the National Transportation Library

Guide Encounter:

The title of the guide tells you to “get started” and we’ll do just that by starting at the Web Resources section in the top left.  Here you’ll find links to FHWA’s Center for Innovative Finance Support and MNDOT’s own web page on Alternative Transportation Finance with innovative ways to fund and finance transportation projects.  Like the elephant, you will never forget how to finance your projects with these great resources.

If you are from L'Étoile du Nord (that's The Star of the North in French - the state motto for Minnesota), you’ll find many sections of the Guide to herd you down the path of financial understanding – such as statutes, statistics, and library resources.

A special exhibit at the bottom left-hand corner of the guide is the Mileage-based Fee Resources box, which will help agencies define road pricing and understand mileage-based user fees.  Bear with us and you’ll see a Public Transportation box, with reports covering the why and how to invest in public transportation. We ain’t lion when we stress how important it is to invest in public transport.

If you’ve always asked, “Where does the money come from?” and who doesn’t, interactive videos are on the right and the top video answers just that question.   So get otter here and become more koalified at transportation finance.
