This guide is based on information delivered at a March, 2018 workshop sponsored by USGS. Several of the presentations focused on the implementation of basin effects into the 2018 update of the National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM), with the anticipation of including 3D simulations for the 2020 update. While the introductory presentation at the March workshop indicated that the Steering Committee expected to submit a draft version by the end of June, 2018, for a period of public review, there was no discussion found of this step. The most recent information on the 2018 NSHM appears to be from the workshop - at least through a search of the public Internet. The final is anticipated to be published in July, 2019.
